I heard about 50 mil. ... on TV show- "View from the Bay". On hte show Dr.Ian said if one went to the website we would be able to access a free customized diet plan. Well, where is it? Its not in any of the drop down tabs. Theres no reference to it anywhere on the site. I'm feeling alittle miffed here.

I've been trying to lose weight for a while now. Over the pass year I have lost 24 pounds and have been losing and gaining, in other words not moving anywhere. I'm tire of people saying to me, you're big, but you have a pretty face. I got to do it so I can feel and look healthy.

Dimples71:

I joined the Challenge on 7-28-07. I weighed 159 lbs. I now weigh 155 lbs. I have been trying hard and sticking to my diet plan but the pounds are really slow to move. I just had a tumble off the wagon today because things at work haven't been that great, and when I got on the scale today and the numbers were the same I was terribly disappointed! However reading about others experiences has given me the strength to get back up, dust myself off and keep trying. Good health is worth it.

I heard about the 50 million pounds challenge months ago, but I decided to join today. I started out at 158 pounds in January and now I am 143 pounds. I can't track the 158 I don't think, but I wanted to be a part of the 50 million pounds challenge. I'm still loosing and I'm doing that with cardio and weight lifting. I'm am honored to be apart of this challenge.

Ms. Shay:

Two years ago, I weighted over 300 lbs. A man told me I was too fat to love. I got mad. I have lost 150 lbs. over 2 years. I want to lose the last 50 lbs. My weight has just 'sat' for so long. Everything that was working isn't. What do I do now?

healthydesire:

Hello all. I just joined today and I am very excited about claiming my body. I am a newlywed and my husband was diagnosed with CHF shortly after our I do's. I want to be a positive role model for my husband, I want to be plant the pavers for a healthy pregnancy in the future, and I to have a strong foundation for my kids to have a healthy life. I owe it to myself!

Raymond Bellamy:

Dr IAN I am a 49 year old 5 feet 9 inches tall black male. I am trying to lost weight by doing something that I enjoy and that is roller skating. I now roller skate about 60 miles per week and have lost 8 pounds. I started this about three months ago at 270 pounds and I am now down to 262 pounds. I am now losing about 1 pound a week and my goal is to loose 40 pounds and to skate 50 miles in one day by my fifty birthday in November 2007. I now find that I have to eat breakfast in order to keep from getting hungry before lunch. Now that I am exercising at the level on Monday(15 miles), Wednesday(15 miles), and Saturday(30 miles) I often feel low on energy could this be from what I am eating or is this to be expected from a 49 year old body?

1xsupermom:

I just signed up today. I chose the name 1xsupermom because I used to wear the cape! Basketball, swimming, tennis...all that. Now, at 366lbs. I cannot ride a bike or ride a rollercoaster with my daughter. I am hoping that this will be the push I need to get my life back. I have tried every diet plan out there so now I am looking for a lifestyle change. Pray for me as I pray for you and we will make the 50 million!!

Greetings, I have just joined the Challenge: I was actually inspired as a result of viewing Dr. Ian's debut talk show, "Meet The Faith" (which I might add, was extremely uplifting and appropos). I lost 65 pounds several years ago and kept it off for approximately nine years. However, after a relocation, return to grad school, a shift in vocations; "biological clock" issues, the reality of turning 40 in a few months, and just dealing with life in general as a single woman,I have managed to adopt 25 of those 65 pounds-comfortably. I was in denial for a while, but after a recent and surprising diagnosis of hypertension, I have become rather adamant in my pursuit for wellness (I refuse to be immobile and unhealthy in my best years). Hence, my endeavor to join "The Challenge." It has been, and will be an ongoing struggle (without question). But it must be done (besides, I look so much better in a size 12 than a 16). So, be encouraged fellow participants, as we corporately lay aside all of the weight that so easily besets us. Fulfillment of life awaits us. To that end, be healthy first, then blessed!
