I'm a 40 year old woman, who have been trying to lose weight most of my adult life. My highest weight tipped the scales at 254lbs. After having my first and only child I lost 96lbs. Not due to dedication and diet but rather illness. Because I haven't learned to deal with my eating habits, I've ate my way back to 244lbs within months.

I'm a junk food addict, my food of choice is salty treats. Which is especially bad since I have high blood pressure. I know how damning these treats can be, however I crave them and become very igitated when I don't have it.

How do I combat this salt demon? I ability to stay on a diet for more then a day is nearly impossible. Please help !!

I was at the civil rights musuem and joined the fight to lose the pounds. My son took me there since it was my birthday. I was utterly shocked at what I weighed. It was an eye-opener. I started that very same day to lose weight. It was good and bad to see all the people who were signing up for the challenge. If anyone would like a weight losing email pal, please contact me. We all need a little help.

I heard about the challenge from a co-worker and decide to do this, I went to my medical doctor about 2 months ago and I was called and told my cholesterol is 259, 59 points over the norm, I am 45 and at that time I weighed 146 and now I at 140lbs, I started walking everyday and have cut out my chocolate and sea food, and I lost 6lbs. I want to get to 125lbs, I have never been this heavy and I do have high blood pressure and do take medication for that and it is under control, I return to the doctor in July and my cholesterol number to be down. I know this is going to be a challenge but I am ready.

Tonja:

I saw the news broadcast about this on Channel 13 this morning. I was immediately drawn into it and decided I'd like to participate. I've been on my own weight loss plan for 2 months now and I really believe this challenge can give me some extra tips and insights.
