You've lost 200,000+ pounds

Momentum is building!  We topped the 200,000 pounds lost milestone over this weekend.  And, we made it in less than a month after passing the 100,000 pounds milestone!

Keep up the fight and keep inviting people to join us on our journey to 50 million pounds.  And also, don't forget to log back in and register your own weight loss... every pound counts!

Hello Dr.lan,can you help me eat healthy i don,t what is the best and healthy way to loose weight i use to weight 130pound but now i am 202pounds on jan,23-09 ii suffer a small silence stroke and i have to take 4 types of medications my self esteem is very low and i am embraced to go out i can,t not find nice clothes that would look good on me sometimes i wish i was not alive can u help me please.

I am very excited about this challenge. The number 8 has a biblical meaning- New Beginning).
I am ready to take back control of my life. I am ready to start a New Beginning in my life. No one can do this for me, but me! I know anything worth having you must be willing to make sacrifices. I am over 150 lbs over weight. I want to be healthy, and feel better about myself. I have also watched you on Celebrity Fit Club. So I have much respect for you. Maybe one day I will be able to meet you in person, and say thank you.

ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO I WAS ABOUT 132 LBS, NOW I'M ALMOST 200 LBS N THAT BOTHERS ME A LOT. I NEED TO LOOSE THAT WAIT...PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE TRUTH. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO,SOMETHING THAT I CAN FOCUS ON TO LOSE THAT WEIGHT?
I'M WILLING TO TRY THE 50 MILLION LBS CHALLENGE....

I started on 6/28/07 by changing the things that I ate. After speaking to a personal trainer, I was told that it was important to eat breakfast every morning even if I did not work out. I got on a scale for the first time since I started on 8/27/07 and though I knew that I had lost about 6 to 7 inches off my waist I had no idea that I had lost 45 pounds. I did not start working out until 8/15/07. My point is that even if you are not going to be in the gym it can be done if you really want to do it.
Make better choices at the grocery store, stay away from fast food and fried food and drink lots of water.

Hi Dr. Ian.

It took me almost 2 years to lose 60 pounds. Now after I lost that amount of weight, it seems like I can't lose anymore. And if I do lose, it's only 1 or 2 pounds. What is going on? Is there something that I should do differently ( like changing my routine)?

Nanette Rivers:

I have begun the challenge and it's not easy. Since my commitment of 06/08/06, I have lost 2lbs. I refuse to give up the challege for a healthier me. I will continue to advocate to friends and family the 50 million pound challenge. I will also keep all of you in my prays for a healthier you. We can do it, use Steve Harvey's quote "I'll be fine" or "I'm bringing sexy back", when you feel you can't continue. We must keep laughter in our challenge.

Meredith Howard:

Hey Dr. Ian,
When are you all coming to Mobile, Alabama? We should have a big festival or something here to kick off this program in this area! This is the best place to be , and we are one of the cities who have the highest obesity level in the United States. I believe that we can and will be able to help more than a thousand people turn their lives around. But we need your help! Thank you so much for this challenge to help us have a more healthy America.
