I enjoyed myself "immensely". I went around to all of the tents, getting weighed, getting my pressure checked, getting my before picture. I didn't see any of the celebs, but I did hear Steve Harvey, Yolanda Adams, and 112. I was so sorry I missed Brian and Dr. Ian. It started raining and my children were ready to go. I did get my T-shirts, hat, water bottle, and sunglass holder. Getting those items really motivated me to get started,
AGAIN. While I had great fun, I was focused on my mission. This is it. No more yo-yo dieting. Thanks, Dr. Ian, this is a great effort on your part. Tell Steve Harvey I saw him at Southern Fires right after the event. That was my last fried chicken. I'm baking some as we speak. Thanks again, I love you, Ell

I attended the 50 Million Pound Challenge in Detroit. It was an awesome event!! The crowd turned out it great numbers to be a part of this historical event! Dr. Ian Smith is a delight, as well as inspiration to myself and I am certain to many others as well. To Dr. Ian and his crew, "Keep doing what you do!!!"

I just wanted to say I enjoyed the festival a GREAT DEAL; here in Detroit. I didn't expect for it to be the way it was it had to be a calling for me because I actually had to work that day but switched my schedule that morning to come with my mom who is now trying to encourage me to lose the weight, i'm still pretty young (22) but i'm very big but very beautiful (HONESTLY)...I've been having some problems with my body that i've nerver had before I toggle between school and 8 or 9 hours a day standing on my feet at work so its been a hard long road and my body just can't continue this way, so hopefully this challenge along with my new weight management doctor I too will be a success story for pretty young round ladies like myself!!!! much luv Detroit and keep up the good work Dr. Ian Smith
p.s. I wish I could have gotten one of those stepping clocks so I could stay moving around to do the 10,000 steps a day 1 pound a week!!!

I had a great time at the 50 Million Pound challenge. I got to meet Dr Ian Smith. I have to say he has to be one of the nicest and most down Earth celebs I have ever met. He was very accommodating to fans with signing autographs and taking photos. I yelled and screamed and asked could I get a photo, he came right over to the gate, even after already coming there 5-6 times to sign autographs and take pictures. He let me hug him as we posed for the picture, but my friend couldn't work my cell camera. He said he was going to sign more autographs and he would come back over once we got it together and sure enough he did. So I got to hug him for a second time as we posed and my friend still was having trouble taking the photo. He had to go on stage, so I didn't get the photo but I did get his autograph and 2 hugs. He was so nice!
I was very impressed with the entire event and proud that Detroit came out and showed we know how to have a good time without any violence breaking out. I registered 5/22/07 and I have lost 23 lbs so far.
Thanks to all the celebrities who took time out of their schedule to attend.

I was there also and was proud of the way we as African Americans carried ourselves except for the few that got ignorant and had to be taken away. The only down fall I had was these two Idiots standing next to me smoking pot. The day I came to the event was the same day I just finished up my 9 day detox of fruits and veg. I weigh around 450 or so but don't have a scale that goes that high so i will know how much weight I lost when I can weigh myself on a regular scale but until then thank you Dr. Ian for beleving in us and for that I pledge to SMASH THIS FAT !!!!
Oh yeah I didn't get an autograph which I wanted but left my books in the car but I did get a picture with you.
