Im a divorced single mother of 4adult children ,Their ages is 32,28,25,19, which God has truly blessed me with their upbring.In a few weeks I will be 49 years old. my weight balloon up to 225lbs, Im down to 198. I can always get to 198lbs than I usually go back up, this time I want different results,for me to get different results I have to do different things, so I sign up for the weight loss challenge.I walk 2hours a day, I completed your book and Im using that as a guide. At the beginning of this summer I was 140 lbs and i am 5'4". Yes a lot of people say that that is not bad but like many people that weight can increase before your eyes. As a college student I've seen people gain so much wieght. Weight is not my issue, a healthier diet is. No one has to be stick thin but when you eat healthier your natural weight wiil come. For me cutting out all processed foods and reducing the amount of meat i eat has brought me down to 120 lbs. My original weight. Honestly i feel lighter and healthier. And trust me I'm not losing any more weight. THANKS DR IAN I TOOK SOME TIPS FROM YOUR BOOK.

My name is Marion Alexis and I would love to take your weight loss challenge.

I habitually eat at night and get little exercise and the weight keeps piling on. I know that this is the wrong thing to do, but it's not by choice. After the loss of my precious son Eddie in 1999, I've struggled with bouts of depression. I'm afraid of being addicted to sleeping pills, so at night in order to fall asleep I GORGE myself with food. The next morning comes and I'm not in the mood for breakfast and thus the cycle starts all over again.

I've tried MANY diets and the gym but nothing seems to WORK. Now I'm back to square one. I would love to lose weight, to take off the extra pounds and feel good about myself again. I know it won't bring my son back, but it would help me take control of my life, and feel good again. Please help me.

I have to have a knee replacement but because of my age my doctor feels that it is best that I wait until I am at least 35 yrs. old. Dr. Ian,
I am not sure where to begin when it comes to my weight issues. It seems since elementary school that I have had a bad self-esteem when it comes to my body image. As a child I was very active playing several sports at a time and in college I was a student-athlete. At the time I always saw myself as heavier than other girls my age. Now looking back at pictures I realize that I was not as big as I had imagined myself. Quite frankly I wish I could get my old body back.
I enrolled in graduated school in january 2005. shortly after enrolling I found out that I was pregnant having my first son. Things were great during the pregnancy. I managed to gain only 25lbs throught out the pregnancy. It was after I had my son that things have been slowly going downhill. Last summer my husband of 3months was deployed leaving behind my then 7month old son and myself. I balanced my son, school and job while my husband was deployed. nine months later this april I find myself nearing the weight I was when i was nine months pregnant. I couldnt even fit into my wedding dress from last year. As I stood in my closet mirror crying my husband said to me "you know you need to do something I cant see you like this anymore". He was right, I did need to do something. I began to slowly change eating habits and exercise habits then on June 24th I joined the challenge. I need this motivation to keep me going. I truly say thank you!

I have listened to the Steve Harvey show every morning and everytime I hear them talk about the challenge, I know it's something I should do. I am 29 yrs old and overweight. I'm tired of the FAT jokes from my niece and nephews. I need to lose 30-35lbs and what's upsetting is that I had lost 15lbs about 3yrs ago only 10lbs away from my goal only to have gained it back plus another 15lbs. Now it seems as though nothing will work, I'll lose 5lbs then gain it back. Now I'm at square 1 and ready to DO THIS and MAINTAIN IT. The list of health problems in my family is too great for me not to take this seriously, I'm already suffering from high cholesterol. Please help me to make transformation to a new and healthier me.
