I would like to thank you for making an attempt to steer us, over-weight Americans toward the right direction. It is true that fitness is key. I am so proud to see so many people participate in this challenge. The weight-loss-chart is great but I would like to see a more specific chart. I made up one myself that listed what I ate Monday thru Sunday, as well as what I ate monring ,noon and night. I also listed my fat grams and total calories for the day. As far as listing my weight I also listed my measurements every month, because as you know there are times where a person can lose inches instead of weight! This info might be useful to someone else as well! Good luck eveyone!

Revyrev:

Is it common to gain weight when begining to work out? I lost 2 pounds the first 2 days but I have gained 4 pounds since. I'm keeping the faith though..

Star115:

I just recently joined and honestly just looking for some support. It has been hard for me becasue I like to excercise and eat right but when your enviornment says otherwise it's kind of hard. Hopefully this is what I need to get to my healthy weight range. We Will Do This!!!

Lawana:

Greetings to all my Brothers and Sisters, The 50millionpound challenge as been a long time coming but We know a Change is going to come. I thank God for Dr. Smith and his staff for their obedience. I joined the Challenge in July 10th of this year, when I heard about It I decided at that moment to do something about it
(My Health). I went on line, joined & started a team (Sisters Inspiring Sisters)didn't mean to exclude the brothers) but we as sisters need to encourage one another. So if you want a team willing to go the distance with you join Sisters Inspiring Sisters. Detroit MI.

stircrazy:

I've lost 7 pounds so far! Changing my diet by making smarter choices and eating smaller portions was tough at first, but its getting easier and I think its starting to become a habit. I also notice that I feel better overall; lighter, more energy, stronger. I try to exercise at least three times a week and switch it up between cardio machines in the gym, bike riding on the road, basketball, and aerobics tapes (Walk Away The Pounds and Tae-Bo). I can do this....WE CAN DO THIS!!

Bob X:

This has trully been a blessing for me. I have not only lost 24 lbs so far, but I have adopted Dr. Smiths philosophy as "my new way of life". I enjoy life more and anticipate everything more so than ever before. My Brothers and Sisters, be encouraged.

margie killebrew:

I have lost 9 pounds. I'm moving slow but I'm still hanging in there.

Regina Parks:

Lost 3lbs hey! I did exercise today .

ladidiaz:

lost 3lbs not much but it's a start

S. Powell:

This has been an blessing. When I had to report my progress, it just seem to be simplier. I knew someone was looking at what I was trying to accomplish. I have seen a tremendous change in energy as well.

Mignon HIll:

I joined the challenge almost one month ago and have been really motivated to make a total lifestyle change. I have lost nine pounds since joining. I have tried to get some of my friends to join and they have come up with all different kinds of excuses to continue eating what they want. However, one friend joined the South Beach diet plan. Thank you Dr. Smith and continue what you are doing.

carol:

Sandi-Girl:

Hi. I'm so glad that there are so many people around the world, trying to lose weight like me. I've been a part of the Challenge for 2 weeks now. I haven't lost anything other than my negetive attitude about losing wieght. I'm 29 and diabetic, with no support at home. It would be really nice to have a online support sysatem. So far, my support consists of the Steve Harvey Morning Show crew, and they have no idea. If there's anyone here that would like to be a support beam, email me or something.

SAM:

First, I would like to thank you taking an interest in my well-being and that of other Americans (especially those of color) who are suffering with diet/nutrition related illnesses. I joined the Challenge when it came through Cleveland and I was so energized and excited.

I am a 37 year-old Type 2 diabetic of about eight years who has been able to control it with diet and exercise for about six, now I am taking pills. My preferred types of activities include walking, using an elliptical machine at the gym, water aerobics, and playing racquetball.

When I signed up I thought your website would be more interactive. I thought there would be weight loss/exercise tips, recipes or maybe the formation of peer groups to help keep us inspired and motivated. I think people may have gotten turned off by the website for that very reason. We know we are overweight and that we should be motivated to loving ourselves the best we can by taking care of ourselves as best we can.

But, if others are anything like me it is difficult to know you are working hard and the pounds are just not coming off, perhaps not fast enough for me. I feel better and I am looking better, but it is just so frustrating when we have placed so much value in that number. I’ve averaged about 5 pounds lost since I signed up; at one point I had lost 10 but quickly gained the five right back. I logged on a few times through that process, expecting to find some helpful information and/or support that just weren’t there. So, maybe you may want to consider adding a bit more useful content to your site if you’d like to keep people logging on.
