DR.IAN,
WHEN I STARTED THIS PROGRAM I DID`NT THINK IT WOULD WORK FOR ME. SO I TOOK IT A STEP FURTHER AND JOIN THE GYM. AND A FRIEND GAVE ME A COPY OF YOUR BOOK THE SMASH DIET. I HAD TO DETOX FOR 9 DAYS IT WORKED. THAT WAS NOT EASY AT ALL BUT IT PAID OFF. I LOST 17BLS. NOW I AM ON PHASE 2 FOR THREE WEEKS. I CAN`T WAIT TO SEE HOW MUCH WEIGHT I WILL LOSE IN THREE WEEKS.
THANK YOU FOR THIS CHANLLENGE!
CHUNT!

Hi Dr.Ian...I admire you tremendously for taking the steps, to help provide weight loss tips, etc to the entire nation. It's important for people who are trying, & who need to loose weight, to know that they are not alone. Personally, I got motivated when there was a "Biggest Loser" Contest here @ work. I have always wanted to "loose" weight but this contest certainly encouraged me to stick w/ it this time. The contest has been going on for 7 weeks now, & I am down 18lbs, & still loosing!!! My goal for the contest is 30lbs (3 more weeks to go) & I want an over all weight loss of 100lbs by March 2008. I know I can do it & I will stay focused, & keep reporting to this site. I work out 2-3x's a week, & I totally eat healthy foods & veggies, & I drink 50-64oz of water daily. I'm sticking to the "healthy lifestyle" so I can be healthy & fit, & live a fulfilling life for myself, & my 1 year old daughter. God bless you & keep up the good work.Miss DYB

YOLANDA MATHEWS:

HEY DR. IAN,
MY NAME IS YOLANDA, I WATCHED YOU ON T.V. AND HAVE ADMIRED YOU FOR SO LONG. I WENT OUT AND FOUND OUT WHAT I NEEDED TO DO INORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS 50 MILLION POUND CHALLENGE, AND DID IT. THOUGH I ADMIT TO FALLING OFF THE WAGON FOR A BIT, BECAUSE I WAS DISCOURGED. CHANGED MY DIET (DAILY FOOD CHOICES), NO MORE FAST FOODS, OR CANDY, SODAS, OR SALT. I READ ABOUT HOW DIFFERENT CELEBRITIES EVEN STUGGLE WITH THE SAME ISSUES AS WE DO, SO I DON'T FEEL SO ASHAMED. THIS HAS INSPIRED ME TO GET BACK ON TRACK (TREADMILL SITTING IN BASEMENT) AND LOG IN MORE POUNDS I AM TRYING TO LOSE. AT 206LBS MY GOAL IS 175. PRAY FOR ME GOD BLESS. YOLANDA

Robert Jones:

Well when I started my weight was around 430 pounds. Currently my weight is 340 pounds. I can now do 30-40- 60 minutes on the treadmill. My speed is at 3.0 miles per hour at an 3.5 angle. I have added 5 pound weight straps to my arms while walking. I have even added leg lift crunches to my daily routine. I lift weights twice per week. I have not missed one day of the cardio exercise. I eat low fat foods. I try to stick to under 50 grams of fat per day. Reading labels is my friend. I have started to share my story and future "Living Healthy" goals on my website www.myspace.com/solopop. I plan to loose about 100 more pounds! And now I know I can do it!

Margaret Sain:

Dr. Ian: Despite I had not logged on the website. I would like to acknowledge that I have lost seven (7) pounds. I am monitoring my diet, eating a fruit daily and vegetables and limiting my meat intake, from what it previously was.

Denise Womack:

Dr. Ian, you are a blessing. God has given you a vision that will change the lives of many people. I have lost 45 lbs since February 2007 (22 lbs since July when I enrolled in the Challenge). One thing I am noticing since I'm doing this again is that support is important. I'm doing it slow and the right way. And personally speaking "prayer HELPS!" Keep the faith everyone...don't give up.
