I learned about Dr. Ian from TV, I also work for my Uncle who is State Farm agent. After getting the info from him I figured i'd give it a shot.

My husband is deployed right now for the next 5 months. After having a baby last June I took this as a time to refocus on myself and try to lose the weight.
I have joined a gym and in 2 months I have lost 16 pounds and 9 inches. I still have a long way to go (as u can tell by my picture) and I had to LEARN TO LIKE water but IT REALLY DOES help. Also I drink green tea 4 times a week.
My strategy is if you go work out and look at how many calories you have burned, then when you come home and want that pizza or hamburger or peice of cake-THINK ABOUT THIS-How hard did you just work to burn all those calories that you are about to put back into your body. This really helps me to push the food away and really think about what I eat. Also I DO NOT eat anything exept water after 7pm.

I just joined yesterday. I am really looking forward to the challenge. However, Im like Renee, I am in dealing with the hot flashes etc. because of surgery and now it seems that I cant get this weight off of me. I have always been very active. I coach track and cross country. I work out with the kids all of that and still cant seem to shake this weight. This is why I finally said I would take on this challenge. I am truly looking forward to hearing back from you all on different pointers on what helped you stay motivated. I believe the bottom line is Im tired of being tired of this weight and I am finally going to do something about it. I look forward to posting my updates.

MY COMMENT IS; EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT LOOSING THE POUNDS, BUT MY PROBLEM IS, NO ONE TALKS ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS AND MENOPAUSE. I AM IN THE FIRST STAGES OF MENOPAUSE AND I DO WORK OUT DAILY WITH ABOUT AN HOUR OF CARDIO ALONG WITH THE WEIGHT TRAING, LETS JUST SAY I GO TO THE GYM AND DONT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED, I AM NOT A GLUTTENOUS EATER, MOST DAYS I DO EAT WELL/HEALTHY SOMETIMES I MAY EAT WHAT I WANT, BUT IT IS NOT A GALLON OF ICECREAM, CAKE,COOKIES ETC, BUT I CAN'T LOOSE ANY WEIGHT, IT IS LIKE MY BODY IS HOLDING ON TO ALL. IT IS MISERABLE WHEN DAY IN AND DAY OUT YOU TRY AND TRY WITH NO RESULTS, SO TELL ME HOW DOES A WOMEN IN MENOPAUSE LOOSE WEIGHT, I HAVE REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, TRIED.

WAY TO GO!!! I JUST JOINED BUT ENJOYED READING YOUR TAKE ON THINGS. IT REALLY HELPS KNOWING OTHERS IDEAS ON HOW TO STAY ON TRACK AND MAKE GOOD CHOICES. When this photo was taken in late Feb I weighed 188 pounds and because of the tracker, I can actually see my progress and the 50 million pound challenge has helped me lose another 18 pounds!! I look so different now and now that i'm a featured challenger I'm REALLY motivated to take off the weight! 145 HERE I COME!!!
