Tip: Pack a meal.

Try to bring at least one meal to work with you every day. It’s all about maintaining better control of your food environment and reducing the temptation to stray from the eating plan. By planning a meal (as well as your snacks) and bringing it with you, you know what you’ll be eating and won’t have to search for what you need to meet the meal’s eating requirement.

Packing your own meal means throwing out of the window the excuse, “I had to eat the French fries because that’s all I could find.”

Best.

Sarah Coleman:

Dear Dr. Ian,

I joined up with you last year even though I have not been constant with updating my information, I have been constant in doing the right thing for my health and for my family's health as well.
Last year I lost a total of 20 lbs. I stopped drinking sodas and I cut back on my fried foods, sweets and junk foods. I also started to drink more water and added more fiber and vegetables to my diet.
I appreciate your tips on nutrition as well as the other information.
Recently I heard your comments about Bernie Mac and the disease he had. I too am a victor of Sarcoidosis and lost a sister to the disease in 2005.
I am in contact with my physician every 2months and finds that sometimes I feel good and then there are some real bad days for me.
I am 58 years old and and was diagnosed in 1987
with Sarcoid of the eyes and since that time my
vision has progressively gotten worse and I am under a pyhsician care for that also.
Sometimes it seems so hopeless because you do everything that you are told to do and yet your body fails you in more ways than one.
But Dr. Ian I intend to become a victor and not a victim of this disease because I have seen the worse with my sister and I do not want to see that happen to me. I am still trying to maintain my weight as best as I know how I also walk 2 miles everyday.
Thank you Dr Ian for the commentary on Sarcoidosis and when are we going to see you in Cincinnati, Ohio. Be Blessed

I would like the healthy snack list. I have been drinking more water than usually because I have started increasing my workouts is this normal? I drink about 20- 8oz galsses versus my 12.

G.A.:

I have not started the program yet. My first starting date will be 8/18, but I am having a problem with all the food to be eaten daily, the times the food should be eaten. Can someone please tell me how that works. What time should I start eating and how many hours after each meal to eat, in order to be able to eat all six times a day. Please HELP!

Erica D:

I try and bring my lunch, snacks and bottled water to work EVERYDAY! I also eat my heaviest meal at lunch. If I cook, my lunch is always leftovers. This saves money as well. I make sure I have my veggies, fiber, and protein. Dinner is typically lighter. For those on a budget this saves money. My favorite snacks are 100 calorie everything, Weight Watchers yogurt, pretzels (I never liked them before), and single packs of fruit (peaches, packed in water or slenda only)!

samantha hill:

to to the meal plan 30 day section in your personal profile and then when it suggests a snack it will give you the option of clicking the list---
