Hi, I'm Apuya Spruill and this is my journey on THE FAT SMASH DIET.
I learned about Dr.Ian Smith's diet on THE TYRA SHOW. I was impressed by his team's weight lost. Also, I was impressed how the team spoke highly about Dr. Ian Smith's plan, which intrigued me.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which motivated me to join. At that moment, I knew I had to change my entire lifestyle. I've lost weight in the past but it was for vanity. This time it's for my health.
I began my journey on July 17,2007. My starting weight was 223lbs. and a size 16/18. I followed THE FAT SMASH DIET step by step as instructed. Six months later on January 17,2008, my weight was 140 lbs. and a size 7/8. WOW!!!!
The weight literally fell off. My co-workers, friends and family could not believe what they were seeing. I was transforming right before their eyes.I am only 28 years old and I've tried at least 15 diet plans. And none of them really worked. THE FAT SMASH DIET was the easiest plan for me to follow.
It's been almost 2 years now since my journey began. I've successfully kept 73lbs of the 83lbs. off. I still follow the THE FAT SMASH DIET. It's just a part of my life now.
I've successfully kept my weight off by,working out for 35 to 60 minutes,3 to 4 days a week. I've learned dedication pays off. One major thing that has kept me focused is my health. I no longer have symptoms of MS. I believe my life change has played a huge part. Also, diabetes runs in my family. I refused to become a victim to diabetes. Therefore, I must stay focused. The keys to my success of losing and keeping my weight off are:
- Daily Prayer
- Dedication
- Staying Stress Free
- Loving Me
- Keeping A Food Journal...Of course,measuring cups and scales.
Hopefully, my story has inspired you yo keep moving on your journey. Trust me the final results are AWESOME. And thanks to Dr.Ian Smith for the thousands of lives, including mine, you have saved. My journey is far from over but I am loving the ride.
Sincerely,
Apuya Spruill

Your story is truly amazing! It has totally motivated me to really take control of my situation.
I was diagnosed with MS in 2001, on my birthday of all days. I also had a child five years when I was almost forty. Needless to say, I'm almost TWICE the woman I was 10 years ago.
My health is poor at best. My back and feet and joints ache all the time, I suffer from high blood pressure and migraines. I've been told by several doctor's that I need to loose wieght for health reasons and I've tried just about every diet out there and then some.
I can't really explain, but for some reason, I feel really exicted about the challenge and beleive that I'm about to get off the big girl dieting and weight loss roller coaster!
Thanks again for your amazing story!

Apuya, we are the same age. I weigh 147 and I want to lose some weight because I am not used to the weight that I have. The heaviest I have been was in the 160s almost 170. I have been slacking off, but your blog post was an inspiration. I know that I am not that much over weight, but I would like to lose just a little more.

Congratulations Little Sister! For everyone out there reading this, Im Apuy'a's sister Mitann'i. I can honestly say that I watched her go from almost 250pds to my size (6-7)in a matter of months! Growing up she was always the heavy one. her nickname was even "Fatty" most of her life, but it was used in a loving way. My sister is no longer called "Fatty", but "Diva" because she has definetly came out of her shell to prove to the world that she is a Conqueror and not a loser! Apuy'a has always been a Diva in my eyes though but now she can be one in everybody's! Reading her testimony brought tears to my eyes because she no longer has to deal with wondering if a certain outfit with look good on her once oversized body or will she live long enough to have children. Thanks to Dr. Ian we all are survivors and we will not give up (Destiny's Child). Praise be to God forever. www.sigmemphis.com

Hello
One day the radio was on in my car, I heard about the 50millionpounds challenge, I decided to try it because, one morning I went to the bathroom and I pass out. My Doctor or I can not say why this happen to me. I was puzzle by this, so I begin to look at my lifestyle, my eating habit was not good. Sometimes I would eat one meal a day. I sometime forget to drink water at time, because of my busy lifestyle. My weight is about 154lb that is not bad for someone who is about 5ft and 4inch but my stomach is so big. I gess I am in starvation mode.
But now I am on my way to a healther lifestyle, and I feel great, my stomach have gone down. I love the ways I'm eating now. I can eat on the go, and enjoy the foods I love to eat. I going to eat this way forever.

Chichi,
I don't know much about post baby belly fat. I don't have any children. I can tell you there is an excercise, where you lie flat on the ground and lift you legs about 2 1/2 inches off the gorund. And lift your legs and take them back down to the orginal position. It really helps the pouch. And stick to a healthy diet. I can promise you it will help.
