Hey I know Craig from Church. What a great job Craig. Keep up the good work losing weight and share with your congregation on how you lose the weight. You Know African Americans church are always cooking those great soul food dishes, which are high in fat and oil. Seeing all of you and the weight loss, is great! I have been battling with obesity for over 20 years now and am sick and tired of the way I look. I have tried numberous of weightloss programs and even diet pills that almost took my life. I've even excercised faithfully three times a week. I lost 20 pounds and that was it! So I stopped. I've had a hysterectomy, highblood pressure and now hyperthyroidism. And no I did not lose weight. I gained more weight instead. I am very frustrated and depressed. And my marriage is suffering from my weight gain. Please help!

I need to know if this is a 1200 or 1500 calorie diet, or when I signed on, they automatically calculated my weight and determined my meals by the calories I need to eat???

In 6 weeks I will be 30 years old. I am not sure of my exact weight because stepping on a scale terrifies me. I am 5 feet 2 inches and I'm most certain that I weigh over 230 lbs. My doctor said my body doesn't look the number. I want to be able to run around chasing my kids but I really don't have the energy. I have an allergy to seafood including fish so I will not be able to follow this exact and I need to know if I can supplement. Please help.

My name is judy . I about 250. I also live in the heaviest state in the country. I was miss diagnosed 10 years ago, as being bi polar when i was accually suffering from post truamatic stress disorder. I was on anti pchycotic drugs for many years, which causes weight gain. I found a wonderful doctor who who has taken me off these drugs and is very weight sensitive.unfortunatly the doctors who treated me before i moved to mississippi, never checked my medical records to see that my neck had been broken and my skull cracked by an abusive ex husband. I am working through many anger isues that i have with my ex. as well as the doctors that put me on these horrible mediatins . Iknow that these medications are useful for those who need them. which incudes my mother who is mentally ill. unfortunatly when someone a doctor asks if there is mental illness in your family...they automatically assume that you do to.Rather than exploding at my husband and kids, i believe eating is my out let. after stopping these drugs i did mannage to lose 40 pounds;however after having 2 surgeries back to back i cntracted bacterial phnemonia which I haven't been able to shake for about 7 months. I spoken with my doctor about building up my immune system. But how in the world do I build up mymetabolism! Once off the drugs I went from 280 down to 204, now after being sick i am back up to 250. It's as if I'm in hibernation. I try to walk as far as i can every day; but because my muscles have become so weak I get extermly tired after a short period of time. Im also carrying a lot of fluid, so i don't know what's me and what's not. Because i was on some very dangerous antibiotics, my doctor tested me for kidney and heart failor. I feel quite blessed that those tests were negative and I only had a few ruptured tendens in my thumb.I've cut out the salt, prepare our food without alot of oil and when I do use oil it's olive oil and just a touch. I make sure we eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables each day. so what's the deal. thnks. judy...ps. great way to get a lot off my chest! thanx

I am 62 years old and I have 83 pounds to lose.
I am afraid when I lose the 83 pounds my arms, breast and stomach will hang. As a matter of fact they are hanging already. Will exercise take care of the problem, or will I have to have surgery? I am afraid to have surgery at my age. By the way, where are the answers to above questions? I read some of the questions, but I didn't see any answers. Thanks.

Hi Everyone.
I will be 50 in November, and I'm so unhappy about my weight. I'm also going to be a grandmom. I always said I would be a sexy grandmom, but done see it happening. I've tried everything on the market. My last resort was to try hypnosis to take away the the cravings for sweets and junk food. I have fell off the wagon so many times I stop counting. I often wish that Dr.Ian, or Dr.Oz, The Biggest Losers anybody, would come knock on my door and say I'm here to help you get started. When it come to sweets and junk food I'm so week. Also I eat them at bedtime. I know all the rules to eating healthy, and I do. But when it comes to control I have none. How do I set my mind for this. I cry about this everyday and know it's unhealthy, but it's like I'm two different people. Pleassssssssssssssse help me.

Hello Dr. Ian and my fellow weight loss friends...I am currently at my plateau. I need some advice. I am at 200 pounds...going up and down 1-2 pounds. I walk everyday for an hour...on my treadmill, powerwalking...I can't get past this 200 pounds. My goal is 150. I am 55 years young and need some serious advice. I'm not discouraged...yet, but I'm at a lost (no pun intended). Please help!

Was anyone afraid to buy smaller clothes. I was. Today I went into a store and I know that a size 16 was to big for me but I didn't know if I should try a 14. I was shaking as I picked up the 2 pairs of jeans. I got in the dressing room and put a leg and then a thigh in and zipped it UP. I could not believe it I sat on the bench that was in there and almost cried.
I wonder why was that. Someone please let me know if this ever happen to you.

I am 302lbs and 28 years old. I have tried many diets but was unsuccessful. I have an extremely support husband and loves me regardless. We try and exercise together but he is pretty fit and I am far from that. I have cleaned out for cupboards and am ready to begin this journey. Does anyone have any advice on how to get this weight OFF. I am a vegetarian and need some meal ideas (besides eating bread, and pasta as I usually do) I am also looking for a group of woman to exercise and walk with(Ft.Lauderdale area). The gym is not for me. I cant handle the weird looks from the barbie dolls at the gym. Please help.

I haven't been able to lose any weight or maintain an exercise program, but since my argument with my husband tonight I feel I am ready.
I would appreciate any and all positive feed back. I need support. I have high blood pressure and there are heart related problems and diabetes in my family. My weight is continuing to balloon from 175 to 190 currently and I can't seem to stop eating fried food and sweets.
Anyone out there?
