Shamelle Morton

Happy, Energetic and Proud - that's me. It all started one year and 2 months ago when I weighed 240 lbs and could not stand looking at myself in the mirror. I was very uncomfortable in my own body and realized something had to be done. I would look at celebrity fit club to see how Dr. Ian helped those individuals lose weight and said to myself ''Hey I can really do that.'' Then one evening while looking at television I saw his 50 million pound challenge commercial and decided to join. I'm so happy I did!

I lost 82 lbs the natural way, exercise and a healthy diet. It was hard work but trust me it's all worth it in the end. Determination and staying focus plays a major part in it as well. I started with a goal weight of 175 lbs but with the help of the 50 million pound challenge, not only did I meet that goal but I also passed it and now weigh 158 lbs YEAAAA ME!!

People please trust in yourself and don't let nobody tell you it can't be done because I'm living proof of that it can...GOOD LUCK 2 ALL' much love!

Kim:

Shamelle,

Congratulations on your success and thanks for sharing your story. Your success is an inspiration to me, like yourself I too weighed in at over the 200 mark (242) and have set my goal weight at 135. I know I have far to go but with faith and hard work I am motivated to do it, this time. I am a woman of 52 years and know that it is harder to drop the pounds than it was years ago, but I will not give up. Though I once did not like exercise, I am moving to love it because it will help save my life and keep me healthy.

Shamelle, keep up the fantastic journey as I begin on mine.

Kim "Godwithme!"

Sheila:

Thank You for sharing your story of weigh loss. This gives me a sense of hope that through time, it can be done!!

Hello
First of all I want to say congratulations and you are looking very nice. Now I will also work hard to loose my weight.Thank you very much for sharing this with us.Keep up the good work.

Debbie:

Hey, Shamelle: I read several posts and yours was the one that hit home. I am right now right where you were and I am right now making a decision to be where you are. I want to be healthy again and I know that 80 lbs. would keep the sugar at bay, bring the blood pressure in control, keep me from taking high cholesterol meds and boost my self-esteem by leaps and bounds. Thanks girl for your story. Today is a new beginning.

Shon1:

Just reading your story is enough to make me tear up right now. I am re-starting the Challenge for the 3rd time and weigh in at 236 lbs (almost 20 lbs more than my husband) and am feeling pretty down right now. Seeing you success make me realize that I can also achieve the same if I only stick to it. Yet the biggest question is, "How did you stay motivated? What caused you to keep going when you felt like giving up? I just don't know how I'll get through those time and that really scares me.

Motivated:

Hi Shamelle, I very proud of you I may not know you...but I'm very happy for you. This is my first day starting and I kind of afraid I will not live up to what I say. But you have inspired me not to give up, I'm 27 yrs old and weigh 176, I use to be 145lbs. I gained over 30 something lbs in about 2yrs and I don't like what I see, so I'm going to take your advice and keep going! I will keep u posted when I reach my goal of 150 lbs. Thanks alot!

Tiki:

Weight loss is weight loss, but 82 pounds? What a feat. I am truly inspired by your determination. So now you must deal with keeping it off. What's next? hang in there. I am 8 pounds down myself with 100 or so to go. :)

jennifer :

How do you change the foods in the plan.

yafegginz:

GREAT JOB!!! I needed to read that story since today is my 1st day on. I know I deserve this and I WANT IT, and I know that no one is going to give it to me, so I am well on my way. Congrats to you & me too.

candikane:

Hi Shamelle, my name is candikane, and who you were a year ago, well thats me now I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror. I don't go shopping anymore and I use to love shopping. how did you get the strengh to do it?

Chinye:

Congratulations! I get inspired reading stories like yours. I weighed 219lbs in December of 2008 and today I am 174lbs. My goal is to come down to 155lbs so I walk about 6 miles 5 to 6 days a week. I also watch the number of calories going inside. I want to be like you someday soon and I am learning to love my body after 4 children. Thank you for being an inspiration.

Lori:

i love that you describe yourself as happy, energetic, and proud. that is very inspiring the way you lost all that weight!

I just started out and sometimes I want to describe myself as frustrated, exhausted, and overwhelmed. but then I remember that Dr. Ian said to think positive. So I guess I would describe myself then as focused, hard-working, and improving lol

Barbara:

How long did it take you to lose the weight? and how much did you exercise each day?

Mary Maine-Roberts:

Girl, you really inspire me!! You look great!! You go!

Shelmax:

Hello from Shelmax.

This is my first day. I'm at 430 pounds. I hope I can stay focused. I need to lose 250 pounds but and thinking 43 pounds is a good start.

I want to approach this as I do a work assignment. I find out all I can and do my best to create the best possible product.

This weight has been the only real obstacle in my life. I have learned to adjust to any other problem. So after 40 years of being over weight, I want to try to see what it feels like to not be overweight.

Wishing everyone the best,

Shelmax

shamelle morton:

yosister47:

Congranulations Shamalle,
Your testimonial was right on time. I just started walking and trying to eat health and elimate some things that I eat. I didnot ecpect the weight to come off fast but I did think i would lose some noticeable inches but I have'nt. Could you tell me whats going on?

Congratulations! You look so good. I have been overweight all my life. I'm trying to lose my weight. It is so hard. I don't know why I just can't stay focus on it. I have a daughter who is overweight a little bit. I want to set an example for her. I have sleep apnea and that's the only health problem. I'm thankful that I don't have high blood pressure or anything else. You are such an inspiration. I hope and pray tha I do as well as you have.

msangieo:

Keep up the good work!!

josalyn10:

Mrs. Wright:

Thank you so much for sharing your story, such a uplifting motivation. Only those of us who are or have been there can understand the challenge that losing weight really brings. You help me to see on the other side of the mountain and that gives me hope and encouragement.

stew2crew:

Shamelle, You look like you've always been thin. I'm right where you were and I've begun my journey today. Thanks for sharing your story and encouraging those who really need it.

Stacey D.:

Good Morning All,

I just wanted to add a comment of hope. I began my exercise regiment this morning with healthy eating and areobic exercis. I am both excited and empowered today. I feel great and I owe thanks to God for the strength to do this. I have 50 pounds to shed, but I know that with healthy eating and constant exercise I will attain my goal. Besides I'm too short to carry this load. smile!!

I appreciate you running your story. to be honest, i have been trying to lose weight for years. I would lose and gain it back, and each time i gain it back, I would gain more. Help me please

Congratulations and praise God on accomplishing your goal. I'm looking foward to getting this extra weight off of me. I have to get this keg down to a six pack. But seriously I'm going to use your success story as extra motivation to do what I have to do to be a healthier individual.
